Follow-up report!
I got my truck back from the shop last Friday and it's BEAUTIFUL again! To look at the fender, you'd never know anything ever happened. I got my shell back on, all lights working again on it, and all is happy and well. Insurance turned out great, zero deductible, rates are not increasing, and ... the best part of all ... the truck STILL has new new truck smell in the cab. So now, I'm hugging the middle of the road! :)
I cashed in some stocks anticipating to pay for the repair myself, but now ... just put that in the bank and decided to use that for trips and campgrounds for next summer! So all REALLY did work out well!
