How much to offer?

First make very sure this is the rig for your anticipated lifestyle. Can you get to the toilet and kitchen, closets, etc when at a Rest Area without opening any slides?
If it is make an offer, negotiate with the dealer, and rest well at night.
Don't forget you may be buying your first RV but the dealer has sold several already that day so his negotiating experience is far above yours.

nevadanick is right on target. Do you really LOVE this trailer and is it the perfect one for your family?? Suggest you be prepared to pay this price, BUT....that little matter of the $850 needs to go away, IMHO, and you could ask for a WDH or some other smaller things you might need. If they say no and this really is THE ONE, don't shoot yourself in the foot. It's discontinued and you may never find it again. For a few dollars one way or the other, you may always kick yourself for not making the buy. Good luck and happy camping!

X2. Knowing MSRP is a guess. Those that said to offer $20k are delusional. If the OP wants the camper he will probably be paying close to the markdown indicated. Maybe $1-$2k less but doubtful. More than likely get free WDH installed or some accessories like fantastic fans, max air's etc. Easy to say walk when you are not the one holding the money or the want/need for a new camper. OP, try a reasonable offer of $28k plus TTL. Maybe walk if they don't offer but be ready to pay their price if you want it. That is a fair markdown if other are showing a similar MSRP

What TT (other than an Airstream, and they are double that) has a $43k MSRP? definitely not a Jayco. maybe they have an artificially inflated price?

IMO, knock off another 2 or 3 K because it's a last years model. Our 2013 TT was MSRP of 42K and we got it for 28 and some change, including WD hitch and install with no transport / prep / fees except the legal stuff (tax and title) in Oct 2013 on end of model year clearance. I also did make the dealer throw in a grand in accessories from their parts store after I showed them the RV wholesalers price quote (25K with no hitch) on the exact same unit and said "Work with me - I don't really want to drive 700 miles to get a new camper.....".

Forgot to mention this is a 2014 dis-continued model and the dealer has $850.00 dealership fees in the original $42800.00 price

Doesn't sound too bad but what you can do is get a quote on the same unit from rvdirect.com and rvwholesalers.com. This will be the lowest price you'll find. Then you'll know if you're in the ball park. That's what I did and my local dealer matched it. Keep in mind you need to add around $2,000-$3000 for transportation charges you would incur if you ordered from them as most all of these units are shipped from Indiana.
