Say what? Your DP is loud? That don't make sense as the engine is about 30' behind you. We don't hear much engine noise whatsoever, in fact I can't hear the engine brake anything like our previous Ram 3500 with the same Jacobs exhaust brake with the 5.9L.
Could it be your front mounted Onan Generator making the noise? I know our screen door makes a lot of racket that I need to fix. Best advice I can give is the walkie talkie route for a cheap fix. Most have belt loop connectors and a ear plug. In the mean time, watch for finger to know you passed the correct off ramp :W - GeezeExplorer

- TakingThe5thExplorerI have a set of Starkey Halo hearing aids and an iPhone and they are coupled together via Bluetooth. I also have some Starkey software that allows my iPhone to work as a microphone to the hearing aids. So my wife can either call me on her cellphone or I can simply give her my iPhone to use as a microphone and the range would probably be 50 feet or so.
That said - we still use our adult Motorola walkie talkies because change is hard. - ramgunnerExplorerJust be aware that anytime you are using a two-way radio for this sort of thing, anything you say can and will be transmitted to others.

They have headsets and can be setup for voice activation in which you don't have to key the microphone. They just can sense when you start talking and do it automatically.
There are many brands that exist that do the same thing. can be had for under $100 for a good set. - RedRocket204Explorer

Sena is a company that makes those for inside helmets... I have one of their devices, SMH5, and it works well. Not sure if they make a headset option. - BenKExplorerThere are intercom's for tow people on 'one' motorcycle, but they are made for
