Well. Well all the Blue Kool-Aid drinking members want to slam the Rem, but if they would look with an open mind they would see what a solid package the Ram Cummins package is. I was able to look at it with an open mind and chose a Ram Cummins best choice I have ever made!
Why do you insist on talking about your 13+ year old truck that is no comparison to any of the trucks being discussed in this thread?
Probably because there is one on here that claims that the Rams are junk and unreliable and he has proof that they are not. I hope you feel as confident about your 6.7 as he does his little ole tractor motor.
It is both about the tractor motor, and the truck itself, bought used one owner. First owner only did standard maintenance. Truck still had stock carter Lift pump, when I replaced the shocks at 255,000 miles I was shocked (no pun intended) to find out the serviceable shocks that I was taking off were the Factory originals! Yea I did have to do ball joints at 251,000 miles. Now I face the worst repair, at 269,000 miles and a month short of 14 years old, I need to have the seat bottom on the drivers seat rebuilt dang major cost of $165!!!!
I think I would have just as much faith in a Cummins 6.7 as the 5.9, they already have many high mileage members.
Engine repairs;
Better than stock lift pump (preventive) $300, Valve adjustment $0.
