- nineoaks2004ExplorerIf there is such a thing, I (nor anyone else) has seen or heard of on. Even a tent needs maintenance.

Is there such a thing as a TT roof that is maintenance free?
Sure, its called a hotel.
There is only two kinds of RVs..
One that IS leaking.. And one that WILL be leaking.
If you don't like the idea of doing some basic maintenance like checking and replacing caulking as needed then a RV is not for you. - mtofell1ExplorerEPDM is maintenance free - don't believe all the "cleaner/softener hype". The same material is on 100s of thousands of square feet of commercial space with no maintenance requirements.
Mainly, as with any type of roof, you have to keep the debris off it so water can flow as intended. I suppose some penetrations need to be re-sealed at some point. I'm going on 4 years with my TT and inspect things regularly. I see nothing even close to needing attention yet. - cjosephExplorerIf you are repairing or looking to upgrade an older roof. There are companies that strip off the TPO/EPDM roofs, check all the wood and cover that with a material similar to bed-liner. They spray over the seams and around each opening.
I have looked at the web sites and it looks promising for a zero-maintenance roof.
Peterson Industries (Excel 5th wheels) offered Rhino RV Coating as an option for a short while before they went out of business. - TurnThePageExplorerI'm sure I'm preaching to the choir but... Products like Eternabond can get you closer, but you still have some maintenance. Other stuff up there will end up needing replacement or upkeep too, no matter what kind of RV it is.
My trailer has been parked outside in the weather for almost 12 years. The roof itself has been almost maintenance free since sealing the various edges back in 2004. I spend much more time resealing windows, or replacing sun damaged roof vents. Really all I do is inspect and wash it once or twice a year. At this very moment there's about 18" of very heavy snow on it, which is not out of the ordinary. - LeBoutExplorer

35 years with NO roof maintenance???? That's about as close to maintenance free as a person can get!! What's the secret of that unit? - Tom_TrostelExplorerAlso small molded fiberglass trailers like Casita, Scamp, Escape, etc. My 35 year old Bigfoot has never had any roof maintenance.
- JWRobertsExplorerNo.
- Snowman9000ExplorerNot if it has openings for vents, AC, antenna, and the like.
But the biggest roof problems seem to occur at roof to wall or front/rear cap seams and corners. Especially if the roof is flat and water dams up at said seams.
So an Airstream should be about the closest to what you are asking for.
