- westendExplorerEven a laid metal roof or fiberglass shell will have some wear and tear over the years. Those two types shoulds be the most maintenance free, My aluminum roof took a lot of work to remove all the nasty sealants that had been used in efforts to stop leaks, After those were removed, vents and pipes got Eternabond tape and the top trim edge was also covered with Eternabond Webseal. Final choice was an elastomeric roof paint sprayed on the roof deck, That coating should last ten years. Ten year maintenance is not a gruesome schedule and if it's only applying new coats of elastomeric paint, it's a two hour job.

Is there such a thing as a TT roof that is maintenance free?
Sure, just listen to the salesman...:W
Actually, there is a roof you can get that is low, low maintenance. Unfortunately if I tell you I'd get deleted so pm me for the information. It's expensive but to us it's worth the cost.
Why would you get deleted? Here is something I plan on checking out when the need arises. Its called FlexArmor, and was developed especially for RV roofs. CLICKY
Flex Armor is something else. If I said again what I could say to you (more details) the mods get offended and delete the post, especially if they are out of meds. PM me for more info. - 2012ColemanExplorer II

Maybe an Air Stream.
But even house roofs leak eventually and they do not go down the road at 60 mph. - Mr__CamperExplorer

Also small molded fiberglass trailers like Casita, Scamp, Escape, etc. My 35 year old Bigfoot has never had any roof maintenance.
My Scamp developed a significant leak around the Fantastic-Fan. As others have stated, even if the roof is fiberglass if there are roof penetrations or seams -beware. - wilcampExplorer

- Mr__CamperExplorerOnly in my dreams. Sorry
- HuntindogExplorerAll roofs need some maantainence... Even your stick and brick house... Many skip it though until a leak appears.:R
