Anyone ever put two sealed twelve volt batteries in a Lance 1010 battery compartment?

I have the 2000 Lance 1010 and was thinking of putting batteries in the Generator area. I was worried about loosing space. It is on my "to do" list, although near the bottom. I like your set up okan-star.
