So my 2014 WC850 has two of the front center clearance lights out. Popped the lens cover off to try and take the "bulb" out, figured I'd just run to the auto parts store and grab the replacments. 1) How do you get the circuit board looking bulb out without breaking it?2) How do you figure the P/N out? Any experience with these? Yes, tried the dealer.....no help by phone.Trying to get ready for the GREAT THAW......it has to be coming soon....right?!!!!Thanks in advance.

I would contact your TC manufacturer if it is OEM...If it has been added by previous owner then you will just have to find something that fits I guess.ETRAILER and LED TRAILER LIGHTS would be a couple of places to look.Roy Ken

2014 Id be calling camper manufacture. Most LEDS are not designed to be serviceable, built as unit. That said some can be without too much difficulty if fair with a soldering iron-hardest part is identify LED used. That you could take the lens off to expose board..um. Unless..there are a few T10 LEDs that plug in like a standard glass incandescant bulb, built on board usually used as a replacement, the base is the circuit board, they just unplug. Im hesitant thats what you have (dont start yanking) as most newer LED fixtures are hardwired, most replacement type bulbs use plastic base. Pictures would help...but first Id call camper mfg.

Called dealer. Dealer called Mfg. Mfg. Said they just install unit don't deal with bulb (according to dealer parts person). So I'm left hang'n. Will get some photos and be checking out the posted sites. May make some more calls.

Sure it is the LED and not the wiring? LEDs rarely fail. Electronics driving them fail but I doubt these clearance lights have anything more than a current limit resistor.Have you tried hooking one of them up to a 12V battery directly?

Sounds like there's a bad crimp, which would cause the wires downstream to not work.

Subscribed to this to see what you guys come up with for a replacement. One of my rear LED is very dim, guessing it got wet and rather than fiddling around with testing, I just want to replace with a sturdier unit.

I'll also be checking the wiring on the inside to see if there is another reason two of the three middle ones are not lit. Anyone with experience chasing the wires up thru the driver side ward in a WC 850?

I'm sure the wiring is good. You don't need to go to all that trouble.
Just pop the lens off and put a tester on the solder points. I think there's even a + and - if look closely.

The circuit board likely got wet since they aren't sealed for jack squat. I drilled tiny drain holes in the bottom of the rest of the light lenses. Going down the road will hopefully create a vacuum and keep them empty. I'll replace them as they burn out. Not going gonna with doing them all at once.

Why bother with that? Just check the LED fixture itself..it isn't going to blow up if you hook it directly to a 12V battery. You can even run them on 9V alkaline cell.
