I missed the part about the owner in the later post, but I learned a long time ago, If I'm at the wheel, I don't take ANYONE's word that it is clear.
Nobody is asking her to pay $2,000 for damages sustained. I simply asked which insurance company to submit the claim to. We have agreed to split the deductible, whichever policy pays. Not complicated. No blame game necessary. We were both involved in the poor decision.
If the insurance companies refuse to pay, we are both prepared to split the cost of the repair. No finger pointing or blame game necessary from those on here who think that I am abdicating my responsibly.
