The state of Washington requires a plate on a camper. You know, the state just needs more money. When I bought our EC950 in July of 2010 the license fee was a little over $800. Plus you pay an 8.4% sales tax on the price of the camper. Absolute rip-off.
California likes to see those rear plates also. About a month ago we were crossing over the Golden Gate Bridge, and two weeks later I get a $7 bill in the mail with a photo of the back of the camper showing that wonderful Washington plate.
