Depends how the truck and camper are equipped. I avoided generators, awnings, A/C, and many other unnecessary items when ordering my camper to minimize the weight of the camper. I also avoided diesel due to it's increased weight and reduced payload ratings of the tow vehicle.
I don't have my scale slip handy but I was over on the rear rating by a couple hundred pounds. The rear rating was exactly equal to the combined OEM tire ratings. I upgraded tires and feel my truck is very capable of hauling my Lance 1030 safely. Other upgrades to the truck are Rancho 9000s and Air Bags.
