Long Term Nissan Titan XD Diesel Update

The XD comes in 4 different trim levels gas or diesel in wide msrp range just like those half tons. You can pay 62k for the high end Platinum Reserve (which everyone reviews) which is close to the high end Fords and Chevy or buy an S gas trim at 36k. Not much difference and with recent discounts I paid 33.2k for my SV diesel. It's towing experience is it's best quality, I was quite surprised. My last truck was a 06 2500 EC LB 8.1 Allison with 4.10 differential that I owned for 10 years. The towing capability of the XD exceeds the Silverado easily, with the only difference being sticker payload 1900 vs 2900. The XD drops a half inch more with the same hitch load is put on it. You guys can hate if you want but the truck is very capable for medium size trailers and small fifth wheels. It's not going to take the place of current 3/4 tons from the big three and it's not rated to. It targets those that need just a bit more than a 1/2 ton. It's hp/torque rating sits between the current 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks.
