The coupler being under and the bars coming down so low from the hitch is not good. You would be better off running nose high and possibly a different hitch where the bars come straight off the hitch.
- skinnymeExplorerI own 2 sets of round spring bars. 600lb. and 1000lb. The 1000lb bars are 1 1/2" longer on the short leg (vertical leg) than the 600lb bars.
It looks like she has 1000lb. bars. This would put the bottom of the bar 1 1/2" closer to the ground. I think 600lb. bars would be about right for her set up. This would give her an additional 1 1/2" of ground clearance. She may have to buy a set of 600lb. bars. - jmtandemExplorer II
My TT is actually a 2010. I was able to be in touch with the previous owner when I got it and he had the bearings done last year.

Yeah, we see it. The reason the spring bars are low is because the ball mount is low. The ball mount is low because coupler is low. The coupler is low because the manufacturer installed an underslung coupler. Your spring bars appear to not be parallel with the trailer frame either but that's a minor adjustment and easily fixed by removing a washer from the ball mount tilt adjustment.
We're assuming that in the picture (page 2) where you show the whole truck and trailer (but we can't see the hitch) that the trailer is sitting on the hitch and not the tongue jack. If that's not true then ignore everything I've said in this thread.
You are correct trailer is hitched to truck. If I was informed by the dealer that they would have to alter the trailer at a cost to make it properly work with my truck I probably would have kept looking. - IDoMyOwnStuntsExplorerBest thing I ever bought for my trailer was a power jack. But to competely fix the problem, either the axles need to be flipped or the coupler needs to be replaced with a top mount (or both). If you do that, make sure you get the correct drop shank or you will still have the dragging problem. I bet that's what is dragging and not the arms.
It sucks to have to throw more money at it, but nothing short of raising that coupler is going to fix the problem. - hohenwald48Explorerlukenick wrote:

We all do, now that you pointed it out to us. You have it figured out. The manufacturer or dealer should install a coupler at the proper height. If that dropped ball mount ever digs into a driveway, something is going to break. - hohenwald48Explorer

It looks to me that the drop on the ball coming off your truck is too much. You could raise the ball higher on that hitch (to the top holes), and save 3-5"
They had to add that drop because anything higher and the trailer would not be level due to the underslung coupler. It is an 11" drop and the head is mounted to the very bottom holes.
Yeah, if you raise the ball as suggested by redterpos3 then you'll just have a problem with the back of the trailer dragging. You can tell in the pictures that you have the trailer level with the drop as is.
When is you dealer going to take a look and give something a try?
