Wow JJ,
And I thought we were friends. LOL. (We have spoke a few times via PM)
I don't recall ever miss-stating anything on steel wheels. Perhaps you have me confused with someone else?
I posted the link simply to illustrate how ST tires are tested.
Anyway, I still assert that the best way to treat ST tires is to have excess payload capacity in the tire and slow down.
I posted a link. Where is something else from the government showing different ST tire testing standards and procedures of testing by a governing body?
Prove me wrong friend. Prove to me that traveling at a slower speed and with excess capacity is detrimental to ST tires.
Thanks,
Jeremiah
If there is a mistaken identity on my part I do apologize… and it seems in my haste I have wrongly combined you post and link with the post of Lowsuv… you are correct there are different and lower testing and DOT certification specifications for the ST tire… but I believe they are a little tougher than what you quoted…
in my haste I also misstated to check Dexter steel wheels on their website when the correct name I meant to say was Dexstar wheel and rim for different wheel ratings on steel wheels, and I apologize for that also…
and no my foot doesn’t taste any better than it smells…
