- jerem0621Explorer IIAs to the interior...it's not as Roomy as a modern CC full size truck but it's still very roomy...my kids (adult size) fit in the back very comfortably as opposed to the Tacoma that folded them up and was not comfy for them...no complaints on the front seat room at all.
This is the truck size of the future...I really believe that. With ever increasing govt regulations this could be the new "half ton" in the next 15-20 years. Not stating that as fact just speculating.
Thanks
Jeremiah - APTExplorerI built my own 4WD Crew cab with cloth and a few options right under $40k. Comparable to a 2.7L Ecoboost F-150 at $10k higher or Silverado LT 5.3L at 8k higher. Probably can get $10k off MSRP the Silverado, so we'll see what the market pricing for the Colorado are.
I expect realistic fuel economy to fall in the 30mpg range for mixed driving for Duramax Colorado vs. 20mpg for the 3.6L or 2.7L Ecoboost F150. 1-2 lower for the Silverado. Pay for itself? Maybe. But the peak torque at 2000rpm really makes the driving experience much better, potentially higher resale value, and longer distance between fill-ups are all harder to quantify values. Besides that, there isn't a vehicle that I've liked driving with the 3.6L. Generally seems tuned to keep engine speed low unless WOT when it wakes up over 3000rpm. I get 16mpg in the crossovers and 19mpg in cars. Blah! - IdaDExplorer

Unless you're driving 35,000+ miles per year, you'll never make your money back in fuel economy for the diesel option.
No more out of line than $60,000 for a full size truck.:(
Agreed, but I paid under $40k for the truck in my sig. A diesel Colorado is more fuel efficient and easier to park, but not nearly as versatile, roomy or capable. I think it's an interesting truck that might fit some people really well, but if they actually price it in the mid $30k-40k range (real-world) they are going to struggle to move them. I think most folks would balk at paying full-size price for a mid-size truck. - 45RicochetExplorer

First thing I noticed when I filled up the Canyon the first time, it has twin fuel hole locations inside the door. - FordloverExplorerLooks like GM is going the route of everyone else, and putting the urea fill port next to the fuel fill.

I actually fall in this class. It's more than just the MPG. I live in the country but work in the city...meaning I have a healthy commute and I park in a 8 story parking garage every day.
I need a truck for hunting fishing Home Depot, family hauler, tow vehicle with 1500 lbs of payload....never mind I would have a truck that can haul 5,000 lbs pretty reasonably, 25 plus MPG (means I don't have to have two vehicles, one multipurpose truck) on my commute and it would fit nearly anywhere I would point it.
Thanks,

Impressive set of goodies:...the Colorado will come standard with the tow package, an integrated trailer brake controller, a unique tachometer, a special diesel exhaust fluid screen in the information center to show fluid level, a dedicated exhaust brake button combined with the Tow/Haul switch
. - certified106ExplorerI wonder when someone will be posting on here about pulling a 35ft camper with it since it has a 7500lb tow capacity.
