I agree, moving the closet flange would not be wise and there would be no other way to make the repair. You would be asking for trouble letting anyone cut into the floor and re-plumb. I suggest adopting one of the many methods shared by others to keep the seat up.

And then after repositioning toilet the front will stick out too far an cabinet door hits it, or shower door hits it, or knees get jammed .

Clip it and forget it.

Or aim better and leave the seat down.

2112, haven't you watching the news lately. Auto design flaws are being recalled by the millions this past year.
If it's a design flaw then the designer ( manufacturer) is completely responsible for fixing it PERIOD..
Don't kid yourself Keystone knew about this problem before they shipped it to the dealer.

The auto/truck recalls are all related to potential safety issues.

I don't think this has anything to do with either the manufacturer's or dealer's CS or satisfaction. While it might be a poor design why would you think they would be required or should be obligated tomodify what they sold you for your convenience, especially when it's not a simple mod to make. I bet there are hundreds of other owners with the same design that aren't busting down Keystones door complaining about a toilet seat. Many toilets dump directly into the tank and moving them is not trivial by any means since it could require installing a completely new black tank, custom fitting the toilet to it along with having to repipe all the exit pipes and valve for both that and the grey tank.

Many, many things in an RV are a compromise and this could just be one of them. If you don't like it trade the trailer in and buy one you are satisfied with or figure out a way to modify what you have to your needs and liking yourself like most of us have learned one should do anyway.

I knew soon or later someone would ultimately blame the OP. I particularly like your suggestion to "trade it in". And just why should he trade it n and lose money? Maybe if it were your new trailer, you would have a different opinion?

In my last travel trailer, a Coachmen Freedom Express 242RBS, the toilet was a bit too close to the wall. I actually just rotated it about 1/8 of a turn and it was much better positioned. Would this work for you? It required no butchering of the floor, new parts, or anything. I just removed the toilet, unscrewed the flange, rotated the flange slightly, and screwed it back down in the the new position. Lastly, I re-installed the toilet and it was much better.

I'm not so sure you'd have to install a new tank. Since the tanks are made from ABS, seems to me you might be able to relocate the entry into the tank along with some cutting and patching of the floor. If you can't keep the existing tank, a new tank would be in the $200-300 range. That is, if you can do the work yourself. You'd also need to re&re the underbelly material (which I see Keystone says is ABS).

Maybe a few lawsuits are needed to get manufacturers to smarten up. RVs are purchased from a dealer and if it were me, I'd sue them because you have a contract for sale/purchase with them, not the manufacturer.

What I would do is go to 2 - 3 independent RV repair shops and get a report and estimate to fix it as evidence, even if you have to pay a few $$ for an inspection and report. Then send copies to both the dealer and manufacturer saying that you will get the work done and seek to recover the costs from them. At the very least, I would make sure you send a complaint in writing to the dealer (if you haven't already) so that they can't say they never heard about it. I would also try and find the right person at Keystone to send a report to - someone who is empowered to make decisions.

It's hard to imagine a manufacturer wanting this kind of negative publicity being spread around.

----BillB800si You keep bringing up recalls. Recalls are generally for addressing safety concerns, not 'my toilet seat won't stay up'. It would be different if this was a safety issue such as a possible fridge fire, underrated tires installed or a frame failure.

My point was that you can not sue anyone for this and neither the manufacturer nor dealer are under any obligation to address this. It would set a precedence if they did. It's not a case of bad workmanship, material or component failure or damage detected at PDI. It's a poor design creating a nuisance for the user.
The OP had every opportunity to discover and reject this design issue prior to signing the contract. Now he owns it.
None of this helps the OP solve his problem. But suggesting he lawyer up and sue is RIDICULOUS.-----------
