Itguy you're so full of bull excrement that it's not funny.
Fact, my dealer does Eco-diesel oil changes for $65 + tax with a tire rotation and fills all fluids.
Fact, @ 70 MPH my Eco-diesel makes 27 MPG not 22.8 what the 2.7 makes @55 MPH!
Fact, Ram trucks are taking market share from both Ford and the GM twins every quarter so someone must like them.
Now back to the topic.
No V-8 diesel can make better mileage than the in-line Cummins. The output ratings for the 5.0 V8 Cummins are what my 2004 5.9 were but without the fuel mileage. Will it sell, yes, yes it will. It fills a market segment and you can bet GM is going to join in on this. Ford had better get on board if they want to keep their BS claim as the best selling truck (F series trucks that is).
Here are the pics I posted back in January, looks like a very capable truck to me.
