FWIW, the AS69RC transmission is almost a $3000 option in the Ram.

If it was needed, that's one thing. Putting a medium duty tranny in a 1/2 ton truck is like shooting a fly with a 30.06.
I'm guessing when it's all said and done it will be the same as my 2500 Cheby having the "same tranny" as the US Army puts in their tanks. :B :R
PS as just an example to #2. The car I use to drive had a Turbo 400 on it. It used 53 HP to turn. The car I now drive has a PowerGlide in it which takes 23 HP to turn. That is a BUNCH of HP savings which means a BUNCH of mileage savings!
