There is a significant difference in the torque between the 6.2 and the 6.7, but much less between the Ram 6.7 and the Nissan 5.0 diesels. Food for thought.
Same basic transmission, true.
Different clutch packs inside, according to a Ford tech. There is no point in wasting clutch packs rated for 840 ft. lbs of torque on a motor that only puts out 420 ft. lbs.
Forget where I saw it, probably FTE, but that's what the guy was claiming. No way I could verify it, but it would not surprise me. Manufacturer's are cheapening out on just about everything these days.
