Nissan Titan and Cummins
It appears the 2016 Nissan Titan with 5.0L V8 Cummins Twin Turbo is now available. Not having a Nissan Dealer anywhere close by I have only seen articles about it. 310/HP 555/ft-lbs at 1600 RPM...

So. Then I guess any Titan HD buyers looking to only tow 7-8000lbs should get a truck like yours cause it tows more even though they don't need to tow that much.
The point is that at that price point you can get more towing power, more payload and similar fuel mileage. Will they sell some, yes. Will they sell a LOT, no.
Generally someone looking to buy a Cummins is knowledgeable enough to realize the very limited capabilities of this Nissan.
If you could buy it for $35, they would have a wider market. For $70K MSRP, any educated buyer is going to compare the options in that price point and see you are getting WY more truck from Ram, GM or Ford for the same price point.
For the uneducated buyer willing to drop close to $60K without comparing to anything else... yea, you will sell some.
