  • For a 2006 I'd not buy it sight unseen. Make arraignments to visit but have all paperwork ready in case you do like it so another trip is not needed. Check it over very carefully for water damage (soft floor), unless it was stored indoors it may well have issues. I'd think more like $5500 with no problems.

This isn't the first time you have stated this and your theory isn't correct across all manufacturers. Not all "tow Packages" have brake wiring provisions. You need to research that some more

if they have a FACTORY tow package with the 7-pin connector, it will have wiring for a brake controller.
some basic tow packages that come with a 4-pin connector, will not have wiring for a brake controller and are not for towing a hybrid.
since all hybrids have a 7-pin connector that allows for control of the hybrid's brakes, it will have the wiring for the brake controller.
if you have some examples of the opposite, please feel free to post them.

My vehicle came equipped with a factory tow package but we had to install a brake control.

I would stay away from a Zeppelin....and yep I had one. Keystone eventually traded me out of it....lots of folks had issues with them. Then again, I suppose it could be a good one.
Check it real good for water damage and rot. They couldn't stop mine from leaking.

possibly why Keystone got out of making hybrids for 5-6 years.

  • one big problem is that you're adding value to things that you shouldn't be.

things like the a/c, microwave/hood combo, outside shower, LP gas detector, gas stovetop, awning, gas/elec. WH, stab jacks, am/fm/cd stereo were all what's called standard "options", meaning you get them anyway for the base price of the trailer.

you don't add value to the trailer for things that always came with the standard trailer model. and all those things did.
you need to do some research on how to use NADA pricing.

2006 was the last year of the short-lived Zeppelin hybrid line.
i seriously doubt you'll find any specs or info, unless you contact Keystone or another Zeppelin owner has a brochure.
but trusty RVWeb.com does have specs and info:

so, your tow vehicle must not have the factory tow package if you have to have wiring done for a brake controller.
do you have the other items that come with the factory tow package?:@
type III/IV receiver, 7-pin connecter, trans cooler, rear end ratio for towing?

and that trailer will certainly weigh 3000lbs. as it sits, unloaded.
ask the owner for the actual factory UVW that's on the white sticker, inside one of the cabinet doors. that'll have the actual weight of the trailer, including the so-called "options" that aren't included in the "dry" weight, when it left the factory.

and finally, no way i'd buy it sight unseen. too many things that could be wrong with it without first inspecting it very closely.
