The OP is most likely having issues with the FEEL of the brakes and calling it "syncing"..
Actually what the OP said was "... and now it won't sink", whatever that means. And now he wants to know if the trailer has to be connected to the TV for this to work. Good grief ... I've owned several Tekonsha controllers but obviously I can't help as I don't even understand the question! :S
Umm.. perhaps YOU are taking things a bit to "literal"?
I didn't realize that it was a requirement to have a Masters in English in order to sign up on the forum..
Perhaps you do not realize that the OP MAY have been using "Voice to text" or perhaps maybe they just simply made a error and didn't bother to correct it?
I TOOK it as they are not ABLE to get the trailer brakes to FEEL like they are working together with the vehicle brakes..
This could be the trailer brakes are braking to fast and hard or not fast enough or hard enough..
In the whole realm of things their trailer breaks are not working the same as their previous vehicle.. Whether they say "sinking" or Syncing" IT SOUNDS THE SAME and in this case I PERSONALLY was able to get past the SPELLING and figure out what they meant.
At least I tried to give them some ideas and help.. You were more worried about speling..
