For peace of mind - I would swap the wheels to 15" and go from there. You will need to look at tire diameter as well as wheel offset to ensure that you end up with a positive change. I wont go into ST vs LT beyond the fact that there are probably hundreds of threads, pluses or negative comments of each types virtues (FWIW, on our 12K plus 5er I only use LTs)
