Regarding replacing the axles, I'd say that depends on a couple things.
1. what axles are under it ? My bet is 3500.
2. what is the actual as loaded weight you are running ?
3. how the axles "look" when loaded ?
do you still have some "upward" in the center of the tube bow ?
....or are they flattened out or worse overloaded to the point of bowing them low in the center, creating a situation where the tires are cambered in at the top ?
It sounds as though there is a possibility the mfr cheaped out and put barely adequate axles. Sadly that is not uncommon in the RV industry.
