I was kinda figuring the same thing. I have the Super Hitch. The 42" extension at 600 lbs. But I want to weld the bike rack on top of the extension which would eliminate weight from a factory carrier.

Bike at 230 plus rack, very most 50# equals 280#. Boat trailer tongue is 250# for a total of 530#.
Only thing holding me back is my back!!! Don't have a forklift to stick it in the truck and my back won't be fixed till this Fall!!!! :(
