I went to the 2017 towing video also, where they tested the same three. All did a great job, all are capable of handling most towing needs. I like the looks of all three. All I can go by is my trucks performance towing my 5th wheel, and I'm happy.. I know I would also be happy with a Chevy or a Ford... Awww, fresh air and no arguing is really nice:)

Jim you have a history buying new and trading almost new trucks. My guess is 2019?????? I was worried reading about heavy rains in what I thought was your area a while back but you didn't post.

chevman- When you Ford guys hit 300k without the cab coming off, get back to me. You have nice trucks, don't get me wrong. I owned a 7.3 that I really loved, just don't brag about reliability at 1xx,xxx miles. I don't knock on Ford interiors, steering, or looks. I like them. But I'm a fan of not being miserable when something breaks, and something will break with any truck eventually, hence I run Cummins for 300-400k miles before getting another one. Nothing I can't fix in a relatively short period of time for a reasonable cost.

My warranty has expired 25k miles ago (truck has 125k miles) and I sleep good at night. It would help your cause if you would actually keep a 6.7 cummins for more than 70k miles when spewing such nonsense.Bird Freak wrote:

well, they did run the duramax to the redline or very close to it. The duramax redline and rev limiter is 3200rpm. I couldn't tell for sure the peak rpm but is was at least 3000, near the HP peak for the duramax.
However, in tow/haul with the exhaust or grade brake the ecu cuts fuel and will let the engine rev to 5000. They had complaints about it going over the redline on the gauge when they had a 3200rpm redline, so the just removed the redline and solved the complaints.
course anyone who read the owners manual wouldn't have complained.
and it isn't the peak numbers that are most important, but the area under the torque curve in the rpm range used by the transmission that key to pulling power. and the test never showed any torque graph. that might paint an much different story.Cummins12V98 wrote:
