TV that fits in my garage? Does such a thing exist?

The new Silverado is the shortest of the "domestic" pickup trucks. A Chevrolet Tahoe is about the same length as that Odyssey.

I don't think there is a standard size for garages, and sizes have changed over the years. I've seen garages built in the 30s extendedsix feet to about four feet high to take a long nose 1960s sedan. Buicks, Caddys, 98 Olds got to almost 20 feet long before shrinking again.

Garages built for those 60s cars will take most pickup configurations, except maybe longbed crew, if the truck is not too high for the door.

Then when cars shrunk, they started buildind smaller garages, that won't take a shortbed crewcab or a longbed extended cab, and might be close on avregular cab.

Then cane SUV era and garages for Suburbans and Excursions. Iff you can fit an Excursion, you can fit most single rear wheel pickup.

I suggest you measure yourgarade, length, width, height. Then check sizes of differen truck configurations, cab size, bed length, capacity, 4x2 vs 4x4. for length and width,you don't need to check them all, except for Ram Megacab there isn't much difference length and width brand to brand. Height will vary a lot more. Used to be 4x4 sat higher, HD sat higher, but now there is a trend toward height for styling, and a 1/2 ton on 20" wheels might sit higher than a one-ton farm truck on 16 inch wheels.
My own garage has two sections, one will squeeze in a 2wd 3/4 ton Suburban, the other is 30 inches shorter and gets crowded by larger minivans.

Garages and doors come in various sizes. You will either have to measure or do a fit check. I have to fold in my Dumbo mirrors for it to fit. I put mine on the left side so I have to back it in in order to get out of the truck.

Standard garage door height openings are 7' high. Whether your actual garage door clears that 7' opening is dependent on the installer/installation. The cab of a 4x4 F-250 with 33" tall tires will clear under 7', but the antenna does not. My extended cab short bed is right around 19' long and a standard cab long bed is about 1/2' shorter. A crew cab long bed is close to 22' long. The F-350 is about 2" taller due to the rear axle blocks.

If you have a tract home from a large home builder (Lennar, Pulte, DR Horton, Centex, etc) These will most likely be 20'long (240") Maybe about 236" is usable. My expedition fits in with about 16" to spare. All these trucks and SUV's have the lenghts on their website as others have said.

Start with a tape measure of your garage floor length with door closed. Not all "standard" sized garages are the same size. Mine is 22', my friend's is 20'. I highly recommending test drives and test garage parking during your research/shopping. Just because the numbers say it have 6" of extra space does not mean you want to park within 3" of each wall every time. I highly recommend backup sensors/camera and backing into the garage. ;)

Since you have a minivan, I assume you want 3-rows for a TV. I highly recommend the 3/4 ton Suburbans. We replaced our minivan with one as primary family vehicle as well as vacation/tow vehicle. While it does not have all the conveniences available as current generation minivans for families, it has served our family's needs for 2 years and 34k mils. We love it! It's got the capability to handle nearly any 7k dry TT with ease. And it fits fine in our garage. We cannot open the full hatch with darage door closed, but the glass only access.

You do know that your HOA can not keep you from parking on your driveway. Ours tried note the word tried, they lost in court and had to pay all court costs and attorneys fees. I don't mind living with a HOA just some of these guys are poor hungry.

Is there a website out there that helps you figure out not only the towing capacity of your TV, but also the exterior length? Or do I have to go to the manufacturer's site for each and every vehicle?

Surely I'm not the only one who wants to park my TV in my garage...

Yep, I've found two things that a Dually can't do. One is park in my garage. The other is to get my utility trailer where I park it, right up against a fence on one side, with a gas meter about 20 feet in front of my truck.

I'd determine what my 'needs' were, narrow to vehicles that fill that need, then consider exterior dimensions. Best of luck to you.

My parents found one at their local dealer. Only one. Thankfully it had everything they wanted (XLT, technology package, locking rear differential, 2 wheel drive, etc.). They got the dealer to throw in the integrated brake controller and have been happy.

Well, that's not entirely true. My mom cursed me for talking dad into it for about the first month as she learned to park it. That extra two feet makes a difference. . . much easier to back in to most spots.

Interestingly, when I bought my 2500HD truck, the main reason I did it was to keep a full size bed and have a crew cab. If Ford had been offering that configuration back then (or if I'd known about it), I might have shocked the world and bought a blue oval.

They're basically the same length, so I think the crew cab 6.5" bed would fit in my garage (just barely).

The best OP can do is use the measurements to get it close and then test drive it to the house to verify before purchasing.

If that's not possible, DW is known to cutout dimensions of things like that in cardboard or butcher paper so we can see how it'd fit.
