WD hitch

I would like to get some input on a WD hitch. I have a 25' TT and 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. I would like to know if it is worth the expense to get a WD hitch. I have been towing my TT without one since I have owned it, almost a year now. It handles ok, except when hitting a bump, both the TT and truck bounce around some. Do I really need one? Will it make that much of a difference? Thanks!
  • You do really need one.

It will make a huge difference.

Part of your instability is lost weight off your front axle. The slightest movement of the steering wheel, even subconscious hand movement, will cause the trailer to wiggle. You may also have your headlights pointing in the air, giving you less nighttime vision, and annoying other drivers.

A weight distribution hitch, would restore some of that weight, help to level out your truck / trailer combination, and reduce the bouncing.
