If you left part of the hitch weight distribution or sway control components attached to the tongue of the camper, I'd say the parts you kept are pretty worthless.
If it is complete, and if it is one of the big name brand hitches that currently sell for $1000.00 (or more), I should think you'd be able to get half that fairly easily.

Yes, you are correct. When I asked where the auxiliary battery is that is missing from the coach (empty tray on one side), they said, WE DONT HAVE ONE. When I asked about the Spare Wheel listed on the Options MSRP sheet I got from Thor, they said, WE DON'T HAVE ONE. Same with a couple of other things that should have gone with the coach.

I also have to keep it on a somewhat even keel, as they are replacing the main awning that had holes in it and the shower door that is cracking at the handle.

Ugh. We have now found two possibly major problems... water damage. Will have that checked next week. I just hate having to deal with them. Then again, it is the only RV store/repair shop around here.

I know there is a temptation to say a lot to such a stupid request. My response to stuff like this is one word: "No" They almost always respond with "But....". I stay silent and then say goodbye and hang up.

If they contact you again, I would be tempted to tell them that the deal is done, that you have nothing more to give them, and if they continue to harass you, you will contact the regional manager. This is ridiculous, and way too much time has been spent on this. Tell them to take a hike.

Tell them to pound sand and to not call you again.

Hi, again. Thought you might like to hear this one... since the subject of this post was about the dealership. They called me yesterday and told me they wanted me to bring back the mattress from the motorhome we purchased!! I explained in detail (EARLY IN THE DEAL), that the mattress they gave us in the travel trailer we purchased there a few years ago was a bad one. At the time of THAT purchase, we tried to get them to give us a better one, and they wouldn't. They even gave us a price to order a new one for the TT then. But, we couldn't afford it. Now, here it is a couple of years later, and we were trading in the same TT on the motorhome. I told them the springs were literally poking through the mattress cover, and when we stored it last winter, we threw it away. I wanted them to know that we wouldn't have anything to trade in. Salesperson said it's probably fine, but she would ask the sales manager. Nothing ever was mentioned again. Now, here it is, about two weeks later -- the deal is done -- and they want a mattress.

I basically told them I didn't have one for them. Then they complained about how they have sold my TT and now they have to pay to get the buyers a hitch AND a mattress. I understood the mattress comment, but hey! They never bought ME a hitch! Neway, I wanted to share the newest event! Cheers.

THANKS for both pieces of info. I am cancelling the warranty today and already bought the Good Sam one.
I will certainly ask about the Junk Room. Love that, too!

I may do that still. It's a friend that bought the hitch. He'd prob undo the deal as a friend if we asked. :) Love that one.
