What's your guess?
A friend with a 1/2 ton is set on getting a camper. He found a manufacturer that lists the camper at 1300 lbs dry weight. What's all your guesses what it really weighs?

I think some of these estimates are on the high side. A 1300# camper most likely doesn't have a bath, holding tanks, hot water heater etc. Depends on what he adds. My campers base weight was in the 1300# range, including the propane tank, and fridge. No water heater, no A/C, 1 battery, and a 9 gallon water tank I never fill. I added a Fantastic fan and a small microwave oven. I'd guess I'm about 1700#s loaded. I'm pretty comfortable with my set up, but I keep a close eye on what I load in the camper. I always offload the camper at the site, and then head to the store for provisions.
