- coolbreeze01ExplorerDiesel gets you up and down the mountain quickly and safely. Leather is hot in summer and cold in winter. Have fun.
- Dayle1Explorer IIThat answer is simple for me, the basic diesel. If you consider an LT model basic. But then I just bought such a truck 3 months ago. I would be happy with a WT model if they had something other than a dark interior. Leather is too hot and sticky for my liking and heated/cooled seats is over the top for me.
This is the 'Tow Vehicle' section, not the 'Friday night Date vehicle' section right? In which case it is hard to see how a loaded gasser can do a better job than a diesel powertrain. If, on the other hand, a gasser can handle your towing needs, then get a basic gasser and use the savings for extra traveling. - Miles_AwayExplorerI have towed with both. Based on the size of your rig I would recommend the diesel.
- downtheroadExplorerLeather, and bells and whistles while nice to have don't help much with towing and handling heavy RV's...Diesel does.
The answer: A diesel with all the bells and whistles. - Miles_AwayExplorerI have towed with both. Based on the size of your rig I would recommend the diesel.
- ScottGNomadDiesel capability over bling.
- Mark_HeislerExplorer IIDiesel go with power and torque
