STL to Finger Lakes area road conditions

Question

We are heading to the Finger Lakes of upper state NY area from St. Louis in mid July.
STL to Columbus on 70 then 71 up to Cleveland and East on 90 and 86 to the Finger Lakes Area
Anybody know if the roads have detours or are under major construction and we need to stay away from?

Any help is appreciated...

Some construction In Columbus.  I 70 to I 270 on the West side of Columbus to I 71.  A few more miles but no construction and less traffic.

You my want to reconsider 86, unless you don't mind shaking the fillings out of your teeth. I usually take 90 past Buffalo then drop down along the lakes into Watkins Glen or 80 east thru PA to  I think it's route 15 north. Daughter lives in Ithaca, we stay in Watkins Glen.
