Best big rig RV parks you have found?

I know about the book, but it doesn't cover enough! We prefer FHU & over 55 if possible. Thanks!
  • Tombstone Territories RV park. Near Tombstone, Kartchner, Wineries, Bisbee etc.
Grand Canyon Railway RV, Williams, AZ. Bearizona, Deer Farm, lakes, route 66
McDowell Mountain Park, great views, large spots, quiet.
Chula Vista RV park, San Diego, CA. Nice place, bay side park.
Pechenga RV park, Temecula, CA. Large spots, very nice, wineries, casino.
Wine Country RV park, Paso Robles, CA. Wine country so mostly adults, big rigs.

The above are not labeled as 55+ but mostly cater to such. Grand Canyon railway RV park will have some families but most is big rigs, adult crowd.

Check out Kartchner Caverns State Park in Benson, AZ. really nice park- sites are paved. Easy walk to the caverns.
  • Since you're in Arizona now, check out Lost Dutchman State Park for beautiful sites and scenery.
  • For us.

    1. Sparks Lake Marina, Sparks, NV

    2. Mountain View Huber, Utah

    3. Mountain Gate, Redding, CA
  • We are open as to gravel or paved. We prefer that the parking spot not be grass, but will consider grass/ dirt/ sand. We have enjoyed parks without activities, especially in areas with great nature around. We are currently wintering in AZ in 55+ parks with lots of activities and love that, too. We prefer parks where we can reserve a site, or at least a type of site with hookups & long enough for us. We are not comfortable with winging it... This usually puts us happily in close quarters with our neighbors and close to tourist attractions or natural beauty. Examples would be Grizzly RV park in West Yellowstone or El Portal in Moab. We have a fifth wheel that will soon be 10 years old. Thanks for your suggestions!
  • More info about your preferences would be helpful. Do you like quieter parks or those with a lot of activities in the park or near the park?

Are concrete pads preferred or is grass and gravel fine?

More information from you will get better suggestions for you.
