Campground shutting down for construction of new campground sites and improvements. I always go there this time of year for fishing at the inlet..:(
It should be nice when its done and hopefully the south side will be back open in May

Good deal. This a great beach campground. It has needed improvements for a long time. - weathershakExplorerI paid to camp there at least 10 times last fall and winter. I'll miss it. My plan B will be Assateague Nat. Seashore, whenever that opens up again.:S
- PapPappyExplorerYou would think that they would keep one side of the inlet open for the winter, and do the repairs to the other side.....then switch, and make changes to the other the following year.
At least then, they would have a revenue flow during the slow times.
Maybe you can dry-camp in the parking lot on the east side of the highway, to go fishing......but then, I'm sure that is considered illegal:(
