Cheapest way to replace carpets that are on slideouts?

We have a Thor Challenger 37 foot Class A and the carpet, which includes three slideouts, are looking worn. I'd like to replace them with a better quality carpet but the local shop says it would be expensive. Any suggestions?
  • We had the carpet replaced in living room and both living room slideouts (damaged)

Independent carpet installers...........cut old carpet out of slideouts.
Used it as pattern then had 'binding' done to cover edge (edge of carpet that hangs over slideout) and then installed it

Not any more expensive then normal carpet installation.......biggest cost was the new carpet

Sounds like 'local shop' doesn't really want the business...RV installs can be time consuming due to 'lack of working space' and all the fitting needing to be done
  • If you cant do it yourself, then pay. Were having oir living room carpet redone right now. Its going to cost me about 800 dollars for 1 slide out and the main floor. Got a bargain at a dollar a square foot for some really good material.
