Weber 100 with Low Pressure LP hose

I believe you will need to remove the regulator from the Q100 to use the low pressure connection.

Correct, as your trailer will supply regulated (low pressure) gas from the port. The Weber is designed to handle high pressure straight from a tank or bottle, thus, it has a regulator too.

The idea is you only want one regulator in the chain or the pressure drop will be too great.

This question comes up so often and there are some excellent posts with parts list on what you have to do and what fittings you have to buy that I wish they would make the topic a "sticky". I'm getting ready to convert my Weber Q over as my new trailer has the quick connect port too, so I'll post the links when I find them.

I am running two regulators with no problems on a Weber BBQ. From what I understand the propane regulator on the RV runs at 11 inches and some of the BBQ regulators run at 5 or 6 can not rember exact number. So if the main is higher than the BBQ there should be no problem.

Hi Jim,
I've heard the same thing. I'm going to try it your way and see how it works.

I carry the portable 1 lb tank fill adaptor and 3 one lb propane tanks. The adaptor cost $15 to $20. I have 4 20lb tanks on my trailer and use this to fill my 1lb tanks. Works great and makes my Weber Q very portable. Also use the 1lb tanks with my torch to light my camp fires.

I ran a comparison on my Weber using both regulators and then just the one, removing the Weber regulator. While the BBQ would work when running thru both regulators, it did at a reduced heat based on the temp gauge on the lid. I don't remember the numbers but the difference was substantial.

I was wrong its a sidekick grill, not sure if the fitting on that can be removed and put on the weber?

Which part and how did you connect to the Weber leaving the regulator?
you saw no difference?
I am in the process of converting it to use the propane on the RV - lines are all there going to the back of the coach for the RVQ
I see most people remove the regulator but would prefer not messing with it if a good alternative was available.
