- lylejiggsExplorerI have the Andersen Aluminum hitch (4900# pin weight rated, 24000# GTW). It weighs 35# so getting it in and out of the truck is very easy. I love how this tows my 14K FW with almost no noise whatsoever. Mine mounts to the factory gooseneck ball in the truck and qualifies as a FW hitch not gooseneck. No safety chains required in Minnesota. Great warranty, won't void the frame warranty and great people to work with at Andersen.

My identical tool box was purchased for my 1999 F350 in 1998. I've had it sitting in the woods since 2006 and hauled it up for the RAM and the new 5ver this last winter. Measuring carefully I could see that it would just fit inside the D rings. It's perfect.
EXACTLY!
Mine rubs the "D" rings, when installing that made it a no brainer it's centered side to side automatically. I used a self drilling #10 1/2" screw in each of the upper back corners of the box to secure the box to the truck bed.
I was lucky and found mine for $300 but if I had to buy new I would not hesitate even at over $1,000! - rskeansExplorerMy identical tool box was purchased for my 1999 F350 in 1998. That's a nice looking toolbox. Where'd you get it? I'm not seeing it on the Highway Products site.
Should be on there. I was lucky and found it on CL in CA a few years back for $300. It's application is for a 94-02 RAM. I was lucky it shoehorns into this 15 RAM. The one for this truck will have at least 2" of gap on each side so you can hook the "D" rings I guess. So if you want one to fit nice like mine and you have a 10-15 RAM order the one for a 94-02 RAM.
It is considered "bed height" and is 30" front to back. Really a great quality product! They are expensive at least $1,000. - mileshuffExplorerI have a Pullrite Superglide. Very easy to pull a few pins and lift the hitch out leaving a completely clean bed. I did pay extra to have under bed rails installed to be able to do this. No tools required.
- jffnkrnExplorerI believe if you do a search and inquire about an under bed rail, that may be an alternative solution for you. I believe Reese makes it but is more expensive than the normal hitch.

Yes, but they do tend to be more expensive than some that do not come out easily.
B&W Turnover Ball and Companion 5th wheel hitch as suggested is one excellent hitch.
X2 and it's a great hitch - Sport45Explorer IIThanks!
Now I'll offer my apologies for the thread veer.
Nothing to see here folks, move on, keep moving... :) - rskeansExplorerI use the same toolbox. http://www.800toolbox.com/5thwheel/5thwheel.htm I keep tons of stuff in there like air compressors, come alongs, tow straps, various tools, etc.
