Electrical issues after long storage

It sounds like one side of your 50A panel had either lost it's feed, or the neutral bus. Trip of the main breaker and try resetting that. Check with your meter after taking the panel cover off to see if you have 120 volts on both sides of the panel.

Start simple....the AC units are on their own breaker so check the breakers. Also, what is the power source you are drawing from?

I agree with Artum Snowbird - if all the breakers on your panel are fine, that sounds like one lost leg from the receptacle (power source) or through your cord to the RV's power panel. The telling sign is "some AC stuff works but not all". As far as I know the AC units should be 110/120 volts each.

The roof vent fans should be 12 volts, though; why they are not working is puzzling unless a fuse is blown.

Thanks for the replies! We did flip the breaker and and off. My husband took a vikt meter to the AC and sure enough there is power but the darn things won't turn on. We put new batteries in the remotes. Yes, start simple. Hehe

What are you plugged into at the house??? Do you have a 50 amp RV outlet at the house? If you do, then yes you have some issues that people have offered good suggestions on.

If you don't have a 50A outlet, do you have a 30A outlet? If you don't and are trying to run the AC on a 15A household outlet, there's your problem, though the roof vents should run on a 15A circuit with no problem.

Have you fired up the generator and tried everything on it?

The power receptical isn't looking great having been in the weather. So that's possible . Only perplexing thing is that we do have 120 volts on the volt meter.

Good point on the Amp from the house. We have an adaptor but he just looked at it and there is a possible bad connector and the terminal was loose so thanks. Off to get a new adaptor and see if it's that easy if a fix.

Havent owned a 50 amp rig but the one thing that sounds scary about them is when they do that thing with losing the neutral I believe? I dont remember exactly and someone else will know but it can blow out appliances. So the thing that makes me cautious is that could it next possibly do that?

I may be way off because as I said I have never owned one but I think I'd unplug it and start at the source and work out being sure all the connections are right. It wasn't a problem for RV before you stored it so is it the shore or the link to the shore.

What adapter are you using? I'm assuming that you need 50-amp service with those two ACs. If you don't have a 50-amp receptacle, you're not going to get everything to work. You say you have 120 volts on the volt meter, but is that on each leg of the 50-amp service?

Important question - have you used this receptacle before and gotten everything to work on it?
