Had same thing happen. At the time the only answer was buying a door.
Now there are hinges and screws for sale separately.

My short fix while I was on the road was heavy duty lock tite. It kept it together albeit I had to reapply the stuff a couple of times. Then the top hinge started loosening up also.

Prevention is to NOT put anything in the door panel of the fridge the hinges are not made to accommodate any weight in the door.

Why not just go HERE, buy the kit, and install it in a few minutes?

Thanks for all the replies, Its working for now I have it taped up ( not the best but it works ) When were thru for the summer I will take the door off an see what I need. Thanks again.

If you google this problem, you'll see that you are joined by thousands of Norcold owners who have had this problem over many years. You'd think that a mfr who sells a fridge with large shelves for milk, water bottles, beer, condiments etc in the door would actually build the door with something stronger than plastic hinge points to bear that weight and torque. But then,of course, they'd not be able to sucker people into replacement doors.

You can get the proper fabricated metal hinge replacement even from Amazon. It is easy to put on - no screwdriver, hammer etc needed. You just need a dime to remove and later replace the screw at the top hinge holding the door. The kit is made to both fit over an existing plastic hinge as reinforcement or in place of an already broken plastic part.

When it happened to me two years ago, the Norcold site was of no help other than them touting a new door as a less expensive solution to replacing the whole fridge. When I ordered my fix kit from an unnamed supplier via Amazon, the box was unmarked as were the parts. Then in very tiny print on the instructions, you could find that the hinge kit is actually manufactured BY NORCOLD. No where on NOrcold's site could you find this kit - just replacement doors. For decades they have a mfr design problem such that they actually have a specific fix kit but they don't want to acknowledge their crappy design by offering the kit on their own site so they sell the kit through an anonymous intermediary. Some companies just don't have any ethics.

The hinge kit is just an extra support for the existing hinge. I think the only way is to fashion some sort of fix for the broken hinge or get a new door. Then get the hinge kit so it does not happen again. Thankfully, we saw a post about this and proactively installed it before we had any issues.
