Spokane Area axle and frame shop

We are currently in the middle of our trip through the Utah National Parks area, etc. On our way home we will be spending a few days in Spokane and area. lately the rear tires on my 5er have been wearing badly while the front axle tires are almost as good as they were new 5 years agoI have had the rear axle straightened once before so I suspect we may have some more problems in that area.
can anyone suggest a good shop in Spokane that I could get an appointment with to see what my problems may be.
I want to get new tires right away but would like my back axle or suspension problems corrected prior to this.
any recommendations would be appreciated.
thanks,
morley
  • Call RnR RV Center in Liberty Lake, WA (not the Airway Heights location).

I've had them work on my MH. They are really good. Their facility is huge. If I recall correctly they have all of the RV service and repair trades, in house.
  • We had R & R do an alignment check on our 5th wheel last fall. They did not find that a correction was needed. However in the process they "corrected" the air pressure in our 4 tires which I found very strange as I am meticulous about maintaining pressure at 80 PSI which is the required pressure for our tires. Drove from Spokane area to the Seattle area in 100 degree plus heat on I90. Then decided to have the wheel bearings repacked prior to our fall trip to AZ. Had the tires checked again in that process and found that all 4 tires were 8 lbs low on pressure and had a certified pressure reference to make sure they maintained calibrated devices for pressure checking. Their pressure check matched the pressure check on my electronic gauge that I normally use which I was starting to think was 8 lbs off but it wasn't.

I reported that to R & R immediately. At first they denied that their pressure gauge was off, But after explaining what I had done to verify accurate measurement they said they would check into it. After another follow up by me they finally admitted they had used a defective gauge and that it would be replaced.

On our trip to AZ a couple weeks later we blew out one of the ST tires causing quite a bit of damage to the 5th wheel. It is my belief that R & R is partially responsible for the premature failure of the tire due to their defective gauge.

However, I have not pursued it with them. I hope and trust they have found a new religion about keeping their tools properly calibrated.
  • Nope. They worked on a leaking black tank. That was last May/June. No leaking since.
  • I don't live there, but if no one has a recommendation, see if you can find a truck shop that does frame work and alignments. The equipment they have should be able to fully analyze your problem.
