Not necessarily. The clear bowl has no filtering properties and is a collection/drain point for water.
The symptoms you describe are classic for plugged filters. You may have 2 so make sure they change both. It's a good idea to keep a set of fuel filters on board just in case.
OK. We did have the one extra filter I mentioned above, so we changed that. Marginal improvement. Need to secure the other. NO ONE in Ft. Myers had on in stock before we left. LOL
We are now at Carlsbad Caverns until Monday. MUST be someplace in Carlsbad ....I HOPE! That sells the filter.
