2004 Forest River Georgetown 370TS Under-Step Elec Schematic

I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I just haven't found it in my searches. There once was an electrical schematic glued to the underside of the steps in my Georgetown that no longer is there. The elements destroyed it long ago. Just so happens that a couple times now in the last year or so I've had a couple issues (slide inop, step inop, etc.) where removal and reinsertion of cables and fuses (not replacement) in the under-step battery and fuse location remedied the issues (thank goodness!). I've been lucky so far, but now realize I should have removed that schematic and saved it long ago. Too late for that now. I'm just hoping that someone else was more on the ball than me and did save it. If you did, can you scan and post it? Thanks.
  • I did a search for the installation manual for the LCI Coach Steps and the wiring diagram is pretty much the same a Kwikee and about as much use a a Kwikee diagram. Any schematic you get won't necessarily show exactly where connections are made. Following the wire from the line point to the load point is the only sure way of knowing where wires connect to the coach and chassis systems. The fuses may or may not bet in a fuse block, both of mine are inline fuse holders and not to fuse blocks.
  • I have scanned the schematic from our 03 Georgetown and can send it to anyone who needs it. The schematic is for the 12 volt center for the complete MH not just the steps.
    FYI.
  • Fortunately my steps are not Kwikee. They are Lippert Coach Steps and they have performed pretty well for 10 years. I ended up fixing a loose wire issue when they stopped working. Like I said, I was lucky. Still would like to find that wiring diagram for the under-step wiring and fuse setup though.
  • If you have Kwikee steps it is easy to get the schematic. Just Google, Kwikee Owners Manual 888. You can download the entire manual as a PDF and have almost everything there is to know about Kwikee steps.

They are now manufactured by PowerGear and will not talk to you so don't try. Chris does have all the stuff available and is really cool about sharing.

Eventually your lift motor is going to fail and I would make sure that I had the correct make and model number available when that happens. Auto part suppliers don't even know what type of motors are used in the steps. There have been several motors used so finding the correct motor "can" be a pain. You will find several posts that may or may not help you find the correct motor.

Good thought about being prepaired as the stupid steps quit in the most inopertune times.
  • Try Going online with the yr and brand & model number of the step
Also Chris Bryant, BryantRV. Has some schematics and manuals on line that you can download, he might have the one for your step
