Having a hard time hooking up the hose to sewer outlet.
There is a black plastic cover under coach with a hole for the hose to be feed through.
I cant get hose up through to hook up to out let.
Any ideas.
It's a 2005 georgie boy pursuit.
Thanks.

I removed the black plastic housing through it in the garbage.
I now have no problem going up through the hole and connecting the sewer hose.
When not using I went to lowes pluming dept and got a 4" plug that has a wing nut on the top where you can tighten down to plug off hole while driving.
It has a thick robber type band sanwiched between the top and bottom when you tighten it the rubber gets compressed in the hole .
Thanks everyone.

Awesome. Funny how removing a part here and adding one there seems to sometimes get things going. I've seen this design before and saw several struggle with it. So it's just the outer black housing you are talking about right?
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

I like the GBM sewer set up because you never have to disconnect the hose and store it inside or in a bumper. To replace the hose insert the new hose into to black plastic holder from the inside storage without the end fitting on the exit end. Hook the bayonet fitting to the dump valve, pull the hose out and put the end fitting on and push it back into the holder and close the little round door to keep the hose in.

Have a 2006 and had the same problem. DH also used a short connecting piece as Johno02 described. No problems since.

On mine, the hole was just big enough for the hose, so either connecter would fit. depending on the configuration, you might find hard connectors that will fit to extend the pipe to the outside. We have found that an outside cap with a hose connector is a good idea, just in case a inside valve has leaked any.

If it is a near but not quite fit, maybe hut down a different brand of bayonet connector for your sewer hose. Some have rather larger knobs or handles on the fitting than others. Look for ones without additional tabs to grab and twist the connector on or off.

We had the same type problem with our 2005 Gulfstreme. The pass-through port was not big enough for the pipe connector to go through. I used a spare section of sewer hose, and two connectors to make an extension. Just long enough to connect to pipe on the inside, then through the port, and a connector on the outside with a cap. It only extends about 2" on the outside when stretched, so we mace a velcro strap to go across the outside holding it secure when not in use. Barely shows, and it east to connect to on the outside. Inside end stays connected to the pipe outlet. Just be sure to close valves securely after dumping.
