Thanks wildtoad. According to your link there should be another DOT code on the opposite side of the tire. I looked on both sides but I will check to see if I missed it. - wildtoadExplorer II
- haydoracinExplorerWhen I got the vehicle these tires were included but not on the vehicle. I checked both sides before I put them on and these were the only DOT codes.
This is an F150 pickup. I am aware of the normal DOT readings but these threw me for a loop. - tropical36Explorer

I recently purchased a vehicle with Toyo tires the DOT code is CX9B. Can anyone please translate?
It's a long set of numbers on one sidewall or the other, with the last four digits indicating the date.
For exp. 4517 would have a manufactures date in the 45th week of 2017.
I always have mine mounted with it to the outside, except for the inside dually and it shows to the inside.
Did someone say that they are now starting to put them on both sidewalls. - BB_TXNomadAgree with above. If not on outside sidewall you will need to crawl under and look on inside sidewall.
- donn0128Explorer IICx is the plant code. Is there nothing molded in after the cx9b? Likely it is on the inner sidewall.

That is not date code. They are branded after molding.
Date code is all numbers. first two are week and second two are year.
It's on the tires as DOT CX9B. No other DOT codes anywhere on the tires. - That is not date code. They are branded after molding.
