Daimler-Chrysler did not do well selling the second generation Sprinter with the Dodge V-6 gas engine. It was a North America-only engine, as was the first V-6 diesel Sprinter offered here. However, cab chassis and vans sold to upfitters were a good part of that small gas market, since it could mean $8000-10,000 reduction in the price of the finished vehicle.
