auxillary start
I have a 2001 southwind and my auxillary start will not work. Anyone have any suggestions?

- More details please: Assume you are trying to start the coach engine.
Are the house batteries charged and chassis battery low? That is the prime reason for using the boost/auxiliary start switch.
The switch is the trigger wire to close a solenoid. Locate the solenoid-- it will be near the batteries. When the switch is closed, you should hear the solenoid CLICK.
With a voltmeter, check at the solenoid:
Switch OFF, one large log has 12 VDC positive. Zero to other large lug. If one small terminal, zero voltage (trigger from switch). If two small terminals, one is ground, the other is the trigger.
Switch ON, Both large lugs now have 12 VDC positive. Trigger wire/terminal also has 12 VDC positive from switch. - Agree but it could be a fuse, keep it simple and go to the battery post, first clean it, fuse 2nd and thus and therefore etc.
- Probably a bad battery isolation solenoid.
