Battery Isolator solenoid - Which one Winnie Mini

Howdy,
Realized the alternator is not charging my coach battery. Found the isolation solenoid in the curb side compartment. (not under hood like my old Tioga) But there are 2 solenoids. Can any one tell me which one is to separate and bring together the automotive and coach batteries? Winnebago 24v 2003. V10.
Thank you

Interesting that the Trombutta solenoid that failed, still "clicked/moved" but did not connect the posts. I guess the contacts faild but the electromagnet still worked.

I've had that happen with a solenoid in a different context. It's a real thing.
  • Thank you all again!!! I just changed to a NAPA continuous duty solenoid, an boy was it a difficult job because of the location. I wanted to go to a solid state isolator but the wire were not long enough. Interesting that the Trombutta solenoid that failed, still "clicked/moved" but did not connect the posts. I guess the contacts faild but the electromagnet still worked.
  • Went through this last year on my 06 Winn Aspect. Heres a link to that thread.

Probably one solenoid is for completely disconnecting the coach batteries from all circuits (via a manual switch somewhere), and the other solenoid is for connecting the alternator to the coach batteries whenever the engine is running.

By the way, our stock Winnebago solenoid for connecting the alternator to the coach batteries failed after owning our new MH for only a short time. I replaced it with a special solenoid that was real heavy duty and had silver alloy contacts for long wear.
  • Found it!!! Winnie website had full diagrams indicating which one is the isolation unit. Thanks to all who replied...
  • Winnebago has their wiring diagrams/illustrations online. Clicky

Double check this link, it may not be the model you have.

  • Did you check the fuse in the engine fuse box? The sixty amp fuse in mine blew 3 times before I replaced it with a 50 amp automatic circuit breaker.
