I am having an issue with the Generator Auto Start in a 2017 Winnebago Journey. Apparently there is a transformer that lets the start system know if I am plugged into shore power. The problem is that my dealer has replaced this transformer 4 times! The last one was tested right out of the box and it was bad, too. These are anytime door bell transformers - Winnebago service says they must have gotten a bad batch. Does anyone have any experience with this issue? If you have a late model Winny with gen auto start, try setting while plugged into shore power. If your transformer is bad the gen will start, even while plugged in. If it does, get it serviced
