We have the P-2 Prodigy.
There's a cable to plug it in, I found it in our 2015 E-450.

we bought one for our E450 from the dealer that we bought our motorhome. my husband installed it. and it works great..

X4 on the prodigy. Most newer vehicles have wiring that allows the controller to be mated to the vehicle. Check with a local mechanic or mobile RV service. The dealer will charge way too much for sure. It's a chassis issue not an RV one. As soon as you say Rv the price doubles.

I agree if you go after market, get the P3.

However. You could check on getting a Ford factory controler installed. They work great. Will cost a little more though. But worth it.

I would look into a Tekonsha P3 controller. They make a harness for many vehicles that plug into the fuse block.
Quick lok on their site did not show for 2018 E450.
