Carfax for Class A diesel is one avalable

I am looking to trade up to a class A dieselagain. We have had 2 and enjoyed both trouble free travel. When we moved to a small house and lot we down sized to a 2014 Class C Winnebago 31 ft. Now we can go larger again and looking to trade or buy used a 32 to 34 ft pusher. Can you run a carfax on RV's now. Thanks in advance for Information

  • car fax in my opinion is worthless it can only show what was reported. I almost bought a rv that carfax said had no problems. ran the vin at a dealer and the tranny was changed, had engine trouble ,and the front nose replaced.
  • CarFax will provide little info if any information regarding the past service a coach may have received. Save the cost and use it for an inspection. I pulled one for my coach and the only organization that submitted info was the past owner's home state DVM.

Carfax can be run on most VIN no's and yes, on motorhomes, as well.
Thing is, they don't tell the whole story. You can probably get better info from the DMV for less money.
Having said that, I got one for less than 2 bucks from another company when we purchased ours and it was well worth that price.
Engine companies like CAT keep records also, but only from their own franchises.

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine? Those state Vets get pretty involved in a lot of matters, I didn't know they also pestered RV owners!

Just kidding. I noticed that you were from NNVA. My wife is a Tidewater native (born at the original Riverside Hospital, graduated Bethel). We lived off Oyster Point for a while, and then moved up to the Denbigh area before working our ways to my home state of Texas.
